No surprises in the southeast
The truth and nothing but the truth
All the things we do for our fans… We travelled all the way to Niederschöneweide this time, far away in the southeastern part of the city and not exactly the richest or funkiest part. That’s of course why #SecretGayGuy lives pretty close as well. Anyway, we got a tip from a colleague that we should visit the birthplace of Beef Burger, which has by now extended its empire into Neukölln and Charlottenburg as well.
Was the colleague right?
Not when she said they were the ‘best burgers in town’. Now, to remain fair for once, you cannot expect a life-changing burger for around 10€ including fries and a soda. Then again, we have high standards. Which were only met by the meat, because it was seasoned and you could taste they had put effort into it. So far so good.
Less effort though was spent on everything else. The buns were standard, there was too much salad (and only the obvious ingredients), the curly fries and the wedges nothing special. We didn’t suffer, but it wasn’t the exotic surprise we had hoped for.
Famous last words?
We still might visit this place once more, as we are still curious how the Indian burger tastes. That sounded like an original idea. Besides that, rank this under the long list of decent but very average joints in town!
